The SECAI scholarships support students who intend to study Artificial Intelligence (AI) or related fields at TU Dresden or Leipzig University. AI is viewed as an interdisciplinary field. It requires expertise in computer science, engineering, mathematics,social sciences, law, natural sciences, and application areas such as medicine.
The scholarships provide living expenses for Germany. It allows students to focus on their studies. Meanwhile, doing their research, and building their professional networks. The program emphasizes academic excellence while promoting internationalization. Moreover, diversity in AI-related teaching programs, particularly encouraging women in STEM fields to apply.
Benefits of the scholarship
DAAD scholarship provides following benefits to the students during their study program in Germany.
A monthly allowance of 934 EUR, as per SECAI scholarship regulations.
Foreign students may be entitled to a monthly family allowance.
Focus on Studies: Financial support to allow students to concentrate on their studies and research.

Eligibility Criteria
Highly qualified current or prospective Master’s students with excellent Bachelor's degree results.
Pursuing Master’s level studies in Artificial Intelligence or related subjects.
Students systematically disadvantaged or prosecuted in their home countries, or refugees of war, are encouraged to apply.
Deadline
First Round: Applications for the winter semester must be received by May 19.
Second Round: Applications for the winter semester must be received by June 30.
How to Apply for DAAD scholarship for AI
Applications should include:
Motivation Letter: Detailing your connection to SECAI and AI in your current or planned studies at TU Dresden or Leipzig University.
CV: Updated resume.
Academic Certificates: Bachelor's certificate (if available), transcript of records, and any other relevant certificates.
Income Declaration: Declaration of other income sources, including other scholarships.
Reference Number: If you have applied for admission to a Master’s program in parallel, include the reference number and submission date of your application.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Submit your application by the deadlines specified.
