Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship program for 2025-2026 is open for applications. It is an opportunity for mid-career professionals in India. The applicants must demonstrate leadership in the fields of cyber security or cyber policy. The program is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) . Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (Shrivenham Campus) hosts the fellows.

Eligibility Criteria for Cyber Security Fellowship 

To be eligible for the Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of India and currently residing in the country.

  • Commit to returning to India at the end of the fellowship.

  • Not hold British or dual-British citizenship.

  • Possess at least seven years of relevant work experience in cyber security or cyber policy, with experience in areas such as policy organizations, academia, corporate law, law enforcement, or journalism.

  • Hold a postgraduate qualification in science, engineering, or technology, or possess equivalent professional training and experience in a relevant area.

  • Have a proven track record of leadership and/or innovation in their field.

  • Agree to adhere to all relevant guidelines and expectations of the fellowship.

Language Proficiency

  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of English, as assessed during the application process and interview.

Note- Not be an employee, former employee, or close relative of an employee of His Majesty’s Government or related entities within the last two years.
