Humane announced a collaboration with Qualcomm to develop the AI Pin's internal hardware. The wearable will be powered by an undisclosed chip from Qualcomm's Snapdragon series. Humane plans to release more information about the device later this year.
The startup has also partnered with SK Networks and Microsoft for market deployment, with Microsoft providing cloud processing power and SK Networks handling distribution. Additionally, Humane is working with OpenAI to integrate its technology, collaborating with LG on R&D projects and smart home devices, and exploring opportunities with Volvo for the automotive industry.
Humane, headquartered in San Francisco, has raised $230 million in funding from notable investors such as Marc Benioff (Salesforce CEO), Kindred Ventures, LG Technology Ventures, Microsoft, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The company has assembled a team of over 200 employees, many of whom previously worked on Apple's iPhone touchscreen keyboard, industrial design, and infrastructure for Apple services.
